Creating Objects

Objects may be created in ALIM Web, using two methods: from the Create New card in the Content pane, or from a form.
Most objects are created using the Create new card, and may include one or more pre-defined templates from which to choose. Note that the templates for some objects such as Documents, Virtual Item Group, Tag, Physical Item, and Change Package, only appear if the design plugins have not been installed. Only distribution lists and virtual items may be created from a form.
Note: In order to create an
object using a wizard, you must have the appropriate user permissions in order
to create that specific type of object. Permissions are assigned by your
administrator, using
AssetWise Director. These permissions are not
required, however, to create an object using a template.
